The last Paint Night of 2025. It has been a dynamic year, full of its ups and downs, but we are here and present, and are about to move on into the next chapter. To celebrate, let’s escape to a serene scene inspired by Japanese style landscape. A peaceful moment in the land of the rising sun. The sun hangs in the sky just over the mountains while a cherry tree is in full bloom by the water’s edge.

This painting is a simple and fun lesson in balance and contrast. The pink of the blossoms really pops over the moody black and white landscape. This painting calls for a bit more water mixed on the brush with our paints to create a softer, almost watercolor like effect in places. We will use small bundles of cotton swabs to put the icing on the cake and bring those blossoms to life.
